Born in 1990, he was previously associated with Ripple, serving as its chief representative in the Greater China area. Under his leadership, TRON acquired BitTorrent in 2018, expanding its ecosystem to include the popular file-sharing service.

TRON was founded in 2017 with a token sale allocating 15.75 billion TRX to private investors and 40 billion to ICO participants, while the Tron Foundation received 34 billion and Justin Sun's company received 10 billion. The mainnet launched in 2018 after migrating from Ethereum. In the same year, TRON acquired BitTorrent, one of the largest file-sharing services in the world.
