According to CoinMeta, the Indian government will respond to the crypto monetary policy next week, followed by the Finance Committee preparing and submitting a formal report. The chairman of the Finance Committee, Bharthari Mahtab, stated on Monday that since its first meeting in September 2025, the committee has held multiple discussions with the Reserve Bank of India, the Central Direct Tax Commission, and other stakeholders. Mahtab pointed out that the committee has not yet reached a unified stance on virtual digital assets; the government neither accepts nor intends to regulate these assets, but this regulatory vacuum creates room for abuse.
